Carrie Sandahl is an associate professor in the Department of Disability and Human Development at the University of Illinois at Chicago. She contributed an article on “Disability Art” to SAGE Publications’ Encyclopedia of Disability (2006), and a version of this article was used for her Britannica entry on this topic.
