David J. Reinkensmeyer is a professor in the Departments of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering and Biomedical Engineering at the University of California, Irvine. He contributed an article on “Rehabilitation Robot” to SAGE Publications’ Encyclopedia of Disability (2006), and a version of this article was used for his Britannica entry on this topic.
